COB AND BUILDING REPAIRS

Cob is a natural building material consisting of subsoil - clay and straw or other organic materials. Materials may vary depending where you are in the world. There’s a list as long as my arm about the advantages of building and living with cob not only is it a great insulator and natural it’s fire resistant and has proven to with stand some epic seismic activity. It’s a perfect material to build with and can be sculpted into all sorts of beautiful shapes and curves, some of the oldest houses recorded are nearly 10,000 years old.

At Lime Unique our professional craftsman are passionate about building with cob, we have extensive experience with solving damp issues or structural repairs using our cob blocks or even digging a big hole and mixing it from scratch and using it traditionally.
